About
My career as a teacher began with an unforgettable journey abroad.
After graduating college, I took a position as an English teacher in
Taiwan, a place I had never been and whose language I did not speak.

Though I had originally intended to teach for only a year and then
return to the U.S. to enter a different field, I ended up loving my job as
an educator. I stayed in Taiwan for nearly three years before moving to
South Korea, where I taught for another year.

From there, I moved to New York City, where I successfully completed the highly competitive NYC Teaching Fellows program, which trained me to work in high-needs schools. This training proved to be an invaluable jump start into my work in the Transfer High School network.

Over the nine years since then, collaboration with other highly effective educators has allowed me many opportunities to develop my own pedagogical and leadership toolkit, which I still seek to expand moving into the future.

I greatly look forward to my next adventure in the field of education, and am grateful for all the opportunities it has afforded me.
